ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

Standing Firm Ministries,Inc.,  a 501-c-3 non-profit ministry, was founding in 1989 as New Beginnings Ministry, located in Houston, Arkansas.  We changed our name to Standing Firm Ministries, Inc. in 2023, to honor our late co-founder, Peggy Hamilton.

We offer addiction recovery ministry to men who reach out to us, are court ordered or referred our program by parole officers, churches, or individuals.  Our intense onsite program is designed to help men overcome life's challenges to enable them to make positive decisions and successfully support themself and their family.  After graduation, from our onsite program, we assist them in finding housing and gainful employment.

Our quiet, rural setting allows for a slower pace of life conducive to physical, mental and spiritual healing.  Room and board are provided as well as counseling, specifically designed to address the various addictions of each man.  Currently, we can house 10-15 men, which allows for the essential element of one-on-one ministry.

We are focused on helping men in crisis by ministering to the whole man.  We are a spiritual bootcamp that sees men's lives changed through the Word of God and the leadership of Holy Spirit.

Even though we are not a church, we believe the Word of God and it tells us to take care of the widow and prisoners; therefore, it is our honor and privilege to provide food and clothing to Perry, Conway and Faulkner County families in need, as well as the detention centers in Perryville.  It is our heart's desire to help anyone in need.
