Brother Dennis - I Never Looked Back!

Hello!  I am Dennis Hamilton, Pastor of Standing Firm Ministries, Inc.  I got “saved” in 1979 and was “delivered instantly by “The Power of God”!  I NEVER looked back! But I saw the agony of the people I lived with.  They were always looking for a “fix” to make them happy again!

I knew the “guilt” and “shame” of always losing and disappointment until I met “The Master”!

We were New Beginnings Ministry for 38 years.  Peggy would always tell me “hold your head up!” Stand firm! I lost my Peggy in January, 2023, so I changed the ministry name to Standing Firm Ministries, Inc. to honor her.

 In February, 2024, I lost my youngest son, Toby Jack Hamilton. He would always tell me “Daddy don’t look back”, and I have not!  Standing Firm Ministries is a one-year program, focusing on men’s addictions.

We walk with them in every phase of the program.  No matter what it is, we are going to be with them! Standing Firm is a 501 c3 non-profit organization.  We lean on every donation a church or individual gives to Standing Firm.  We provide a receipt which meets every qualification of the IRS code.  We are 100% funded by private donations.  We do not accept public funding.

But MOST OF ALL we are about JESUS! He is the answer for EVERYTHING!

I love what Samuel L. Chadwick said, “the sign of Christianity is not a cross, it’s a tongue of fire”!

Leonard Ravenhill said in a book titled, Why Revival Tarries, that we appease sin, we do not oppose it. We have left our first Love to such a cold and carnal, critical, careless church.  This lax, loose, lustful age will never grow! It has NOT been in times of popularity, but adversity has the TRUE CHURCH always won!

He goes on to say,” We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writers, but few fighters.” We have traded away holiness for hype and we have forgotten righteousness for ritual. We have mastered the form of religion, but we have forgotten the force!

The Holy Spirit of God, the third person of the Trinity, our higher partner, is welcome in this place. Let’s give Him room!

If we can get everyone to have a personal Pentecost, we would have a shake up around here!

If sleepers would wake up, the lukewarm would fire up, the disgruntled would sweeten up, the discouraged folks would cheer up, the depressed folks look up, the gossipers would shut up, the dry bones would shake up and the TRUE believers and soldiers would stand up, WE COULD HAVE CHURCH!
